Sample Itineraries

These sample itineraries are designed to give you an idea of what your sailing tour will be like. The specific islands you visit will depend on the itinerary curated by the captain, based on your needs and interests.

3-Night Charter Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to Paradise

  • 5:30–6:00 AM: Early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Panama City in a 4×4 vehicle. The scenic drive to the port in Cartí takes about 2.5 to 3 hours through winding jungle roads and mountain views.
  • 9:00–9:30 AM: Arrive at the dock and board a speedboat for a 30–40 minute ride through the Guna Yala archipelago.
  • 10:30 AM: Arrive at your sailboat anchored near Banedup, a postcard-perfect island with soft white sand and turquoise waters.
  • 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Welcome aboard! Enjoy light snacks, a short safety briefing, and time to settle in.
  • Afternoon: Spend the afternoon swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, or lounging on the beach. Option to visit a nearby traditional Guna island and meet local artisans.
  • Evening: Enjoy sunset cocktails followed by a beachfront dinner featuring freshly grilled seafood such as lobster, octopus, or fish—whatever the local fishermen caught that day.

Day 2: Island Hopping – Gorgidup & Dog Island

  • 8:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast on board with tropical fruits, bread, coffee, and eggs made to order.
  • 9:30 AM: Sail to Gorgidup, a gorgeous island featured in Netflix show Money Heist, known for its clear waters and pristine beach lined with swaying palms.
  • 12:30 PM: Light lunch on board or a picnic-style meal on the island.
  • 2:00 PM: Short sail to Isla Perro (Dog Island), home to a famous shallow-water sunken shipwreck perfect for snorkeling with colorful fish and coral.
  • Afternoon: Relax on the beach or the deck, swim in crystal-clear waters, or explore more nearby islets.
  • Evening: Enjoy dinner on board and unwind with stargazing from the trampoline net.

Day 3: Chichime Island – Cultural Experience & Bonfire Party

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast on board as you begin your short sail to Chichime, one of the most beautiful islands with spectacular views in all of San Blas.
  • 9:30 AM: Arrive at Chichime Island, where a small number of Guna families live in traditional huts. Here, you’ll get a glimpse into authentic Guna life.
  • Enjoy strolling on long secluded beaches beaches, take a dip in light blue waters.
  • Visit the local Guna families and learn about their way of life.
  • See how they prepare meals in rustic beachside BBQ huts and enjoy a traditional lunch featuring fresh-caught fish and hand-grated coconut straight from the trees.
  • Relax in hammocks sipping coconuts, and maybe even try a game of beach volleyball.
  • Evening: Celebrate your final night with a bonfire party on the beach. Enjoy music, rum cocktails, and stories under the stars with your crew and fellow travelers—an unforgettable farewell to paradise.

Day 4: Return to Panama City

  • 7:30 AM: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on board as the crew prepares for your departure.
  • 8:30 AM: Speedboat back to the port (approx. 30–40 minutes).
  • 9:30 AM: Meet your driver for the return drive to Panama City.
  • 12:30–1:00 PM: Arrive back in the city with sun-kissed skin and unforgettable memories of San Blas.

5-Night Charter Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival by Plane & Welcome to Coco Bandero

  • 7:00–7:30 AM – Depart Panama City via charter flight from Albrook Airport. Enjoy a 45-minute scenic flight over the San Blas archipelago.
  • 8:30 AM – Land at Corazón de Jesús airstrip. Transfer by dinghy to your catamaran anchored nearby.
  • 9:00–10:30 AM – Welcome aboard with tropical fruit, fresh coffee, and a light brunch. Settle into your cabin and meet the crew.
  • Late Morning–Afternoon – Sail to Coco Bandero Cays, a dreamlike cluster of palm-covered islets. Swim, snorkel, paddleboard, or just unwind on soft white sand.
  • Evening – Watch the sun dip into the sea with a cocktail in hand. Dinner under the stars with freshly caught seafood and chilled wine.

Day 2: Cayos Holandeses: Coral Reefs & Tranquility

  • 8:00 AM – Breakfast underway as you sail north to the uninhabited Cayos Holandeses, known for their crystal-clear waters and exceptional reefs.
  • 11:00 AM – Drop anchor and dive into some of the best snorkeling in San Blas. Spot angelfish, starfish, and maybe even rays.
  • Lunch – Enjoy grilled seafood or veggie wraps on deck, surrounded by nothing but sea and sky.
  • Afternoon – Sunbathe, paddleboard, or read in a hammock.
  • Evening – Sunset drinks, followed by a relaxed dinner and peaceful sleep in total seclusion.

Day 3: Julios Islands & Miriyadup: Culture & Color

  • 8:30 AM – Sail to Julios Islands, a tranquil group of islands with calm lagoons perfect for paddleboarding and swimming.
  • Late Morning – Head by dinghy to Miriyadup, where you’ll visit a Guna family and meet a mola artisan.
  • Watch molas being made by hand
  • Learn about their symbolism and history
  • Try on traditional Guna attire (colorful skirts, beaded anklets, and headscarves)
  • Take memorable photos and maybe purchase a unique handmade mola
  • Lunch – Return to your catamaran or have a casual meal on Miriyadup—fried fish and coconut rice, Guna-style.
  • Afternoon – Free time to paddleboard, swim, or relax on the beach at Julios modest hut bar
  • Evening – Dinner on board with a view of the stars and gentle island breezes

Day 4: Cambombia: Hidden Paradise & Beach Bonfire

  • 8:30 AM – Depart for Cambombia, a serene island with a small Guna community and incredible reef systems.
  • 10:30 AM – Anchor near shore and snorkel along the edge of the island. Spot parrotfish, moray eels, and rainbow wrasses among coral gardens.
  • 12:30 PM – Lunch – Savor grilled lobster or catch-of-the-day on deck with fresh island sides like plantains and avocado salad.
  • Afternoon:
    Visit with a Guna family on Cambombia
    Learn how coconut trees are used in daily life
    Join a casual beach volleyball game or hunt for seashells
    Kayak through crystal-clear shallows or paddleboard along the reef
    Sunset – Gather firewood with your crew and prepare for a special evening.
  • Evening: Beach Bonfire
    Dine on the beach: grilled kebabs, coconut rice, and pineapple salsa
    Toast with rum cocktails or cold beers as the sky darkens
    Bonfire lighting ceremony—music, dancing, stories, or quiet reflection by the flames
    Stargazing far from city lights, maybe catch a shooting star.

Day 5: Waisaladup: Secluded Serenity & Farewell Moments

  • 8:30 AM – Slow breakfast on board as you sail to Waisaladup, one of the most peaceful islands in San Blas.
  • 10:30 AM – Drop anchor near a pristine beach. Spend the morning:
    Snorkeling a shallow reef filled with starfish
    Lounging on powdery sand
    Reading, journaling, or simply soaking in the silence
    Lunch – Island-inspired tapas and fresh juice served on deck.
  • Afternoon:
    Final paddleboard or swim in crystal waters
    Reflect on your journey with a tropical cocktail in hand
    Write a message on a coconut and let it float out to sea (optional goodbye ritual)
  • Evening – Sunset farewell dinner with a Caribbean twist. Toast to unforgettable memories with the crew and your fellow travelers.
